Book Hummingbirds of Brazil benefits 3,000 children with art workshops
In the week of Children's Day, CTG Brasil, in partnership with Marte Brasil, publisher of the book Beija-Flores do Brasil (Hummingbirds of Brazil in english), offered a fun arts workshop for the children of Ilha Solteira community.
The workshops, which took place in the municipal schools of the city, had a special participation of the artist Eduardo Brettas, who taught children to paint Brazilian birds with watercolor, and gave lectures on the importance of preserving biodiversity.
Children from 3 to 10 years old have become true "Guardians of Nature", theme of the coloring book distributed during the workshops.
In all, the project "Hummingbirds of Brazil", sponsored by CTG Brasil via Rouanet Law, benefited more than 3,000 children, 150 teachers, 100 young people and adults, as well as several company stakeholders who received the book, such as libraries universities, and education secretariats.
Juliana Lu, consultant of Sustainability of CTG Brasil, accompanied the project. According to her, "this project reflects many of the sustainability pillars of the company, promoting environmental protection, education and, as a result, the development of the communities in which we operate."
